Looking to Purchase / Re: Looking for a good Kayak..

I'm holding on to all mine.  Bay Area is probably the best place to tap into a relatively unused, used yak.

It's been a great year - haven't even been up to Trinidad as the Bay and Crab Park have been excellent with plenty of jumbo's.  Good Times.   :)

Post some of your great videos and pics and you'll have the numbers in no time.

S.

Thx!  I'm not sure if they've changed it, but in the past it's been tough to put a decent sized pic on here...

Yep, I just tried to attach a 500x800 (shrunken) pic and it's a no-go...

I'm into supporting this site's growth, but if we can only have little dinky photos I'll keep posting elsewhere.

Fishing - Tips, Tricks & Rigging / Re: Halibut Fishing in the bay

The most successful Humboldt Bay 'but hunters seem to have the live bait routine dialed.  I'm not one of those guys, but hope that helps.  I've tried for them with frozen chovies on a sliding rig - check with the guys at Englund Marine for some tips on it.  They sold a nifty little "California Halibut" tackle setup in the past.  Good luck.   :)

Mooch chovies on a barbless mooching rig south and out from the Head - good chance for a salmon right now!  Good luck!!
