I'm 50/50 on having to work tomorrow,,, but if I don't I'll see ya there.  Forecast doesn't look the most promising, but definitely worth a check.  Cheers, Adrien.

Sad thing to see the spammers getting into this new site...

Too bad about no bites Eric,,, but way to get out there before the family fun on Saturday!  Yeah, that forecast for Sunday was one of those "oops, we missed that one" calls by the weather folks.  I spent Saturday surfing and fishing for red tail SP,,, and drinking LOTS of cervezas, which gave me a foggy sloshy head Sunday morning.  Chummed the water around Flat Iron a few times (much to the amusement of my buddies), but stayed out from 6-10 and managed 5 blacks and 3 crabs.

Howdy folks,,, I'm just wondering if it is me/my computer or if there is something with this forum, but I have to log in each time I come to the forum even though I have it selected to keep me on "forever".  I do not have this problem over at NCKA.  Not the biggest deal in the world, and not too bothersome,,, but just wondering about it.  Other than that, it's a kick ass site and happy to see that it's a bit more true Nor Cal centric, than NCKA,,, now we just need to have more people posting here.

Cheers,
Adrien.

Fishing - Report / Re: Trinidad - 6-4

Thanks Eric.  The 4.7 is pretty good so far,,, but kinda has got me scratching my head on where/how to mount up some more flush mount tubes.  I'm probably gonna just mount some PVC tubes to my small crate and call it good,,, but the downside to that is I just got the ice box for the stern well,,, so there goes the crate sometimes.

Looks like you guys killed it out on the cape.  Those chinas sure are pretty.  A buddy pulled one in up here on Saturday as well.

Good times OTW!!!

Weather and fishing were much better this past Saturday,,, then they were on the opener.  Spent about 6 hours on the water and ended up with 8 blacks and 3 legal crabs.  Added that to a couple of limits of razor clams,,, and ended up with a group of very happy and full friends during our Sunday afternoon sea food feast!

Heck ya!!!  Way to go getting them stoked on the yaks.  Seeing parts of the city like that is super cool.

Wind/Wind Waves still look good for tomorrow,,, but the swell is super fun right now,,, so if I don't surf, I'll be looking for y'all.  What time you meeting @ the launch?  With the late morning high tide, I might even fish and then surf later...

Maybe when you come up you can bring some sunny & low wind days with you. ;D  OK,,, so after the freakish rain this morning, it is turning out to be a great afternoon.  Cheers.

Fishing - Report / Trinidad Rockfish Opener

"It was the best of days,,, it was the worst of days."  Actually it was neither.  Was on the water by 6:30 and lasted for 4 hours, until the rain and wind drove us off the water.  Only saw one other yak out there, besides our small group of 3.  Ended with 4 blacks and lost a decent sized Ling off my new rod,,, since I was too quick on setting the hook and only had a bit of it's lip, which then ripped as I overeagerly tried to haul him into the boat while dropping my gaff.

Another newbie to the forums that'll try to make it on the 28th,,, especially since I have a new 4.7 and live in Eureka!!!  Just started checking forums recently, mostly NCKA, and just found this site today.  Obviously missed NCKA signup for GS5, but will be splashing the waters around Tdad for opener.  Cheers, Adrien.
